We believe that it is possible to provide outstanding quality food in stylish yet informal surroundings at sensible prices and we have a reputation for doing just that.

Our accomplished Head Chef and his team produce delicious, seasonal dishes with a big focus on locally sourced produce.

The Talbot Ripley"s menus feature imaginative modern British a la carte dishes, as well as traditional classics and seafood specialities. For those with a sweet tooth we have an array of mouth-watering puddings that are quite simply, to die for!

We have a choice of areas in which you can dine, from our cosy bar with its 15th Century beams and open log fires to our restaurant which features a stunning copper ceiling and glass wall overlooking the Summer terrace and garden.

Food was cold. Rice was microwaved and served in lumps. As compensation we were not charged for our drinks which was very fair but it’s a shame as it’s such a lovely old place. I’m in Ripley in a couple of weeks with some school friends and will need to book for dinner but it won’t be the Talbot.

We ate twice at the Tabot as staying 2 nights. First night Louisiana Spiced Chicken Burger & Talbot Beef Burger diferent burgers all very well cooked, and presented served with chunky chips and washed down with Aspall cider. 2nd night Marinated Pork Fillet follwed by Fried Apple Gyozas myself the 12" Rock the Parma pizza (more than enough) again all well presented cooked and with good service, large house red and pint of Aspall

Lovely lunch today with my son ! Food was excellent and service also ! Must come back for the afternoon tea it looked lovely.

Our second lunch within a month, and all expectations met. Great service; great food; great value - delightful.

The food was good, however my dinner had to be returned as was only lukewarm, which was disappointing.

We were checking out The Talbot as the venue for a private party. It passed with flying colours - excellent, friendly service with lovely, tasty food at sensible prices - and very nicely presented!

As always delicious food and great service. We particularly enjoyed the wine on this visit, merlot and pinot rose. We'll be back again soon x

My parents were guests at the hotel so I booked them a table at the restaurant for dinner, but unfortunately, the food was very poor! My parents had different meals but both contained chicken and they were both unwell later that evening! It sounds like they need to update their chef ASAP!!

Thank you for your feedback. As soon as this was bought to our attention on the day we investigated and explained the reason why the chicken burger comes out slightly pink-the chicken is thigh and not breast. I can assure you we served around 8 of exactly the same burgers the same day and all was well. We hope to welcome your parents back to The Talbot again.
