Vee Vee in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, is a small, neighborhood restaurant operated by Kristen and Dan Valachovic. The food is best described as creative American, and we feature a well-curated wine and craft beer selection. The vibe is casual, and the menu modest but inventive. As of May 2022, we are open for indoor and outdoor dining in a seasonal patio by reservation or walk-in. We are also happy to offer takeout as well.

    We very much enjoyed our dinner at Vee Vee. The food was delicious! I didn't realize, though, that the dishes on the menu are basically "small plates" and should be ordered in combination. My wife and I each ordered a single plate, which turned out to be less food that we would otherwise have ordered. This isn't the restaurant's fault - and again, the food itself was fine. But in cases like mine - where someone could be a little clueless - if a person orders only one dish from the menu, the servers could remind us that more than one dish might be more satisfying.

    The place was amazing, the food was really good. The atmosphere was great and perfect for a romantic night. The waitstaff was excellent as well.

    An outstanding dining experience as always! I was trying to decide between the tostada and the fish tacos when the red snapper was recommended to me by our waiter. What a great choice! i will be definitely having it again in the future. And of course the street corn is incredible. I tried a new house wine which I loved so once again, a great evening.

    Delicious! The snapper was our fave. The jerk chicken and charred cabbage were also A+++

    We had an excellent birthday dinner during Chef Valentine's residency at Vee Vee. The red snapper was phenomenal and lived up to the hype, as were the fried steak and butterscotch pudding. Service was warm and welcoming the minute we walked in, and the cozy ambience was perfect for a date night.

    Quick! Get here in the next week before the guest chef leaves! His dishes and flavors are amazing-everything we ordered was difficult and delicious. Reservations are a must — it is very small. Fortunately service is excellent. Pretty noisy but friendly. Alcohol is beer and wine only. Literally every dish was beyond expectations.

    2nd visit to Vee Vee in two months and wouldn’t be surprised if we’re back then again soon. Fantastic food from the new Chef Valentine serving up the most delectable Caribbean-flavored fare. Short ribs, jerk chicken, fish tacos, Jamaican empanadas, shrimp ceviche - all outstanding and done with inventive twists. Restaurant is cozy and warm, service outstanding. Go!

    Let me say that the JERK CHICKEN was OUTSTANDING! The rest of our choices were all good to very good but nothing like that Jerk Chicken.. Service was pretty good and the window nook we had was very nice and had its own heater which was more than sufficient to hold back the cold from the windows....
